Taft (an ex-President of tlio United States) declared that the United States' refusal to enter the League of Nations would relegate her to the limbo among irresponsible nations unable to make an agreement' of any kind. He declared the United States would not lose any of her sovereignty by entering the League. He said the result of the Presidential election would not necessarily indicate the people's decision whether the United States shoulii enter the League, since other issues were involved.—Aus'. and N.Z.
