A PLEA FOR DELAY. Melbourne, Sept. 2. A deputation of anti-Canberra members of Parliament wai/ted on Mr.' Hughes and pleaded for delay in the erection of the federal capital for financial reasons. Mr. Hughes was non-committal in his reply, and said the question would be an open one with his party.
