Crosso (Xapier), (present Domin.on champion), put up a phenomenal round when playing J. Harold (Wanganui). In the mornlng he went round in 73, and even wlin a plus 4 handicap, was 3up on bogey. A keen match between Kapi Tareha (Napier) and Collins (Wairarapa) ended ia a win for the former, 2 up and 1. 11l the semi-tlnals, Goss beat Forbes, 4 up and 3; Tareha beat Crosse, 3 up and 1. The latter match was watched by a big group of spectators, Tareha played superb golf, especially with the driver and the cleek. Winning the first hole, ha kept the tee all the way, being one up at the turn. Here he registered some phenomenal drives, and had Crosse pressing to keep within his distance. At the fifteenth, Tareha was doriny three. Crosse reduced it to dormy two, l:ut the 'Maori got the 17th with a brilliant three, and won by 3 up and 1. J. Goss (Wauganui) meets Tareha in the final over 36 holes to-morrow. The four ball bogey was won by H. Hutchison and \y. Strang, 7 up. Kapi Tareha and Dawson (Hutt), 6 up, were second.
