OVERTIME ABOLISHED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 1, 8.55 p.m. , ' Sydney, Sept. 1. The Amalgamated Society of Engineers, Moulders, Boiler-makers, and Iron Trades Assistants' Union decided, commencing on Saturday neirt, to refuse to work on Saturdays. Ten thousand employees are affected. The decision applies "to Morts Dock, Cockatoo and works, in addition to private shop?. A mass meeting of the Wharf Laborers' Union endorsed the -Labor Council's irritation strike scheme in the event of further deportations, and also decided to refuse to work overtime after jfive o'clock in the evening.—Aus.-N.Z.
