R.S.A. NEEDS.

INVESTIGATION PROMISED. By Telefrauli.—Press Association. Wellington, August 31 Representatives of the Returned SolAssociation interviewed Mr. Massey on the subjects of the acquisition of land, the need for increased pensions for permanently disabled men, and a readjustment of the scale generally. Mr. Massey said that all the points raised would be investigated thoroughly. Compulsory acquisition of land would bo very costly, and would involve a very great delay in the settling'of soldiers. A great deal of land was coming in, and it was anticipated that they would be able to settle all the soldiers who desired to go on the land. The pension proposals would involve a very big sum. The finances of the country were already severely taxed.
