PUBLIC HEALTH BILL.

APPROVAL OF LOCAL BODIES. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Hon. C. .T. .'Parr (Minister of Health) states that about 70 local bodies have expressed approval of the new Public Health Bill, the draft of which has been circulated. Jn reference to Hie circular from the Waitaki Hospital Board, the Minister expressed disapproval of the proposal contained therein that all public 9 health work should devolve on 'a central authority. The Department could not subscribe to such a principle, and he said definitely that no amendment in that direction would be accepted to the Bill.
