THE AMERICA CUP.
PLEA FOR SOME CHANGES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received August 30, 8.35 p.m. ' Ottawa, August 30. A Canadian yachtsman, Mr. Ross, has published an open letter to Sir Thos. Lipton asking him either to withdraw his declared intention to challenge for the America Cup in 1921-1922, or agree to make the next race a triangular one.. Mr. Ross also asks for a change of course, and a change in the class of yachts, pointing out that public interest in the last races waned owing to the failure of the Shamrock and the Resolute to answer requirements in a really heavy wind— Aus.-N.Z.
