Hawke's Bay was played yesterday in fine weather, but the ground was very heavy. Nevertheless a bright and fast game was witnessed, Auckland winning by three goals to' nil. A WIN FOR HAWKE'S BAY LADIES. Napier, August 28. Tho Hawke's Bay v. Southland ladies hockey match here~ to-day was played in the presence of a large number of spectators, and resulted in a win for the home team by four goals to three. The visitors made r. fine showing, and two of their goals in particular were the result of splendid play One of Hawke's Bay's goals followed a penalty bully.
