WAITARA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ■ August t4. Tift post office at Tikorangi, which lias been controlled by the Faull family for the last 32 yeys, will end with the resignation of Miss K.' Faull, who will possibly act as postmistress until the end of- September. There is a prospect of Tikorangi being without a post office, owing to the remuneration being insufficient to induce atiyone to take the position up. The district has been well treated by the Faull family for a long term, and they deserve the thanks of the district. A meeting will be held shortly to consider the position, and it is hoped that someone will be found to take up the position temporarily, with a view of getting the department to increase the remuneration.
Annoyance has been caused to theatregoers lierc lately by irresponsible persons throwing apple cores, pea-nuts, and other missiles about the theatre. The trouble is to catch the miscreants when the lights are out. I would advise the management to have scouts amongst the audience, and if the guilty persons are caught, to hive them banned until such time as- they learn to behave themselves.
