CKI.ME IN WELLINGTON. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Wellington, August 23. A serious complaint was made recentof wholppaln smashing of plate glass windows, numbers of which were wantonly broken. The latest instance was ftt the shop of G. Fowlds, mercer, in Manners Street, when a loud crash was heard and a pane worth £0(1 was found to !. smashed. Later J. H. Carr, who is known in amateur boxing circles, was arrested, the police considering they had evidence against him. Carr was charged with window-breaJc-ing and theft at the Magistrate's Court to-day, and was remanded till Wednesday, bail being allowed.
