ABOUT A PLAN.
M.P. A$D THE HARBOR BOARD. A discussion regarding tlie nnnrertipt of a plan of the Opunake railway, at the meeting of the New Plymouth Harbor Board on Friday, 'has drawn from Mr. S. G. Smith, M.P., the following remarks, which he telegraphs from Wellington to the Daily News: "In reference to the report of the Harbor Board meeting regarding the junction of the Opunake railway at Moturoa, on June 30 I forwarded a plan showing the junction to the Town Clerk, with a request that he forward it on to the Harbor Board. Subsequently he advised me that the plan was forwarded, and receipt acknowledged. .Kindly publish correction, as the present position places me in a false position." The matter was referred to Mr. C. S. Rennell, secretary of the Harbor Board, last night,'and he stated that the plan referred to by Mr. Smith was quite different to the one the Board wanted. The plan sent by Mr. Smitli simply showed the route; what the Board wants is the plan of the proposed junction at Moturoa, showing the station yards, etc.
