PROPOSED WOOLLEN MILLS.

At the annual meeting of the Taranaki Farmers' Meat Co. on Saturday, the question of the desirability of erecting woollen mills in connection with the meat works was brought up by Mr, Gattmby, who advocated that the project would be of great advantage. The chari-nan stated that the directors had already, discussed the question, but it was considered that the project would only be possible if the people of Taranaki subscribed the £40,000 necessary for the undertaking.
