SUPREME COURT.
CASES AT AUCKLAND. By Tejegraph.—•JPress Association. Auckland, Last Night. At the Supreme Court, a decree nisi was granted in the case of Jas. Matthew Buckley, a baker. Christian Peter Hansen, co-respondent, with £SOO damages, and custody of the children. In the case of Alfred Percy Dare, against whom a charge of manslaughter was withdrawn, and a verdict of guilty of mischief was returned, Judge Stringer commented on the accused's wild driving of a misappropriated motor car, resulting in the death of Horton at Penrose on February 2. As accused's character was otherwise exceedingly good he was granted probation for three years on condition he paid for the damages to the motor and the bicycle ( £SO), and costs £ls, his amusements and associates <to be approved by the probation officer. Alfred John Neath, who married a Scotch girl at Wellington while his lawful wife was alive, received two years' reformative treatment.
