WEST END SCHOOL.

QUESTION OF NEW SITE. • PURCHASE TO BE MADE. The result of the investigation into the acquiring of a»site for the school at West End was reported'to the Taranaki Education Board yesterday by Messrs. H. Trimble, F.. Hoskin and A. Lees. They After an inspection of the locality we suggest that a piece of land about six acres in extent situated on the west side of the Belt Boad is suitable for the purpose. The land is part of Section 12, and is the property of Mr. Greig. Should our suggestion meet with the approval of the Boar! we recommend that application be made to the Department for a grant for the purchase. We would point out that undue delay should be avoided as Mr. Greig lias already made arrangements for surveying the land in sections with a view to its sale in small allotments, a purpose for which it is admirably situated. The report was received, and it was decided to make application to the Department for a grant of £4500 for the purchase of the land.
