Hie training of territorials firing the war was.hampered considerablv by practice ly the whole of the Dominion's serviceable rifles being supplied to the vped.tionary Force, and what weapons the tern orials do possess are old and quite useless for anything hut drill purposes, Arrangements have been made by the Deience Department, however, o equip all units with new up-to-date nfles, shipments of which are now beginning to arrive from Home, and the work of replacing old arms will be put m hand without-'delay.
