The death of Mrs. W. V. Cleaver, consequent on an attack of pneumonia, took place at Hawera yesterday. Mrs,' Cleaver was 1 a sister of Mrs. W. H. Kelly, of Stratford, and before her maj-riage was Miss Julia McDonald, of Midliirst. She is survived by her husband and eight children, the youngest being two months old. _ At the meeting of the County Council on Saturday next, the question of rescinding the resolution expressing willingness to contribute to the expenses of the Hydro-Electric League will be discussed, also making new by-laws.
