EGIWONT A. & P. ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the above Association was held at Hawera on Saturday. Mr. E. A. Washer presiding. The balance-sheet showed expenditure totalling £3006, including £9ll for prize-money, maintenance £259, intorest £362, salaries £6ll, rates £16!). The chief items of re\ - enue were: Subscriptions £545, donations and prizes £43s, entry fees £350, gates £149, rents (farm) £585, farm profits £I7S, profit on, section £339.

The chairnyin reviewed the position, which he considered satisfactory, and warmly eulogised Mrs. Grant's works.

Tim balance-sheet was adopted. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. E. A. Washer; vice-presi-dent, Mr. H. Middleton; treasurer, Mr. G. Ford; committee, Messrs. J, H.' Baker, S. Blake, A, L. Campbell, James Grant, P. Gillanders, G. C. Gibson, Allan Good, 0. J. Hawken, Alex. Hunter, Horry Hodge, Fred .Hoskin, J. C. Hobbs, B. C. Lysaght, E. J. Linn, E. Meuli, Alev. Votes of thanks were passed to the farming committee (Messrs. Nixon, MeL„ Dawie and 0. Hawken). T. Ash, the president, Mesdamea Grant and Washer, and all ladies who assisted at,the show.
