RAILWAYMEN'S TERMS.
UNANIMITY NOT REACHED POSITION STILL IN.DOUBT. By Teleeraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Delegates from branches of the Locomotive, Engineers, Firemen, and Cleaners' Association met in Wellington today to consider various matters, the most important being the draft agreement prepared by the committee appointed by the Government after the recent strike. The other branches of the railway service—the Amalgamated Society of Bailway Servants and the Railway Officers' Institute—have accepted the recommendations made in their cases, but the E.O.F.A. has not yet accepted, and some of the branches are known to be opposed to acceptance on the ground that the agreement does not concede some of their demands. The conference, which represents the locomotive men throughout New Zealand, will decide whether or not the agreement shall be accepted. The delegates did not complete their deliberations today, and will meet again to-morrow.
