The Ariosto, from Dunedin te Newcastle, called at Sydney to-night for orders. SYMPATHY WITH MANNIX. 'Received August 18, 1 a.m. Sydney, August 13. Big and enthusiastic demonstrations in the Domain carried resolutions protesting against the British Ooveriiment's treatment of Archbishop Mannix. A protest wa.s cable* to Mr. Lloyd George and the president of the ''lrish Republic." Demonstrations on the same lines in Melbourne. Adelaide, and Hobart, acted similarly. INDUSTRIAL PEACE BILL.
