At i). meeting of sheep farmer* to discuss the future of the, meat tend*, it ap« peared to be the unanimous desire that licenses should he granted to Armoof and Co. and other export buyers to ship meat from New Zealand, and that the trade in frozen lamb to America should bo encouraged. The following resolution, was curried: "That this meeting of Canterbury sheep farmers resolves that' no obstacles be placed in the way of any firm opsratinfc in New Zealand, until there is evidence that the methods of such Arm an detrimental to the producers' Intsr«ti."
