PLUNKET SOCIETY.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly committee meeting of the Plunket Society took place on Monday, August 10th. Present: Mcsdames Burgess (In the chair), Webster, Shaw, Jenkln, Smith, Amhury, H. Russell, Newton King, Duff, McH»Tdy, Denny Brown, Roebuck, G. King and Misses Wade and Stanford. Apologies were received from Mesdames T. A. Bailey and Stewart Russell. Nurse Williams Reported for the month of July as follows: New ca9es 22, babies under care 180,, mothers preparing milk 108, mothers shown how to prepare milk 10, visits to homes 150, ac'ults to rooms 27, mothers to rooms 206, babies to rooms 167, letters 6, The financial statement, showing a total credit balance of £338 153 sd, was read and adopted.. The president reported tho result of the various remits which had been discussed at the conference of the Society held lately In Wellington. This business will be continued at next meeting.
