TARANAKI EDUCATION BOARD.
URBAN" DISTRICT ELECTION. The votes for the election of a member of -the Taranalci Education Board for the urban district of New Plymouth have been counteed and the result is that each of the candidates —Mr. R. J. Deare and the Rev. J. F. Martin—has received an equal number of votes. The position now is that the election has to be decided by drawing <lot3 in such a mariner as the board may decide, so that the final result cannot be made known until the next meeting of the Board, which takes place at 4 p.m. on Monday, 16th inst, .
