Store' cattle sold readily: empty cows and heifers, £4 10s to £7 10s; bul\s, -£5 to £lO 10s; calves, £1 5s to £2 10s; yearling to 18montbs heifers £3 to £5 10s, steers £3 5s to £5 15s. At Papakura we held a special horse sale. Unbrokehs, heavy, sold to £42, medium £ls ; to £25, light £8 to £l4; heavy draughts £33 to £SO, medium £25 to £4O 10s; hacks, £9 to £l6 10s; light harness sorts, £lO to £2O; ponies, £4 to £l2; weeds, 15s .upwards. We held a clearance sale of Mr. Jas. Bramby's live and dead stock on Tuesday, ]at Wbitford, the bidding being keen from a'large assembly of buyers. The cows sold to £l9 15s; pigs, £3; fresh-dropped calves, £1 10s; horse, £35. ' At Westfleld fat stock market, plain and unfinished cattle were easier in price.
