MINERS' DISPUTE.

THE CONFERENCE ADJOURNED. (By Wirc-rarliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. The conference of representatives of the coal mine owners and of the Miners' Federation, which was .convened by the Prirao Minister to consider points in dispute regarding the interpretation of the agreement signed by the parties at the beginning of the year, met again to-day. Mr. P. Hally presided. Mr. Massey stated thi9 evening that fair progress towards a settlement had ( been made. It had become necessary for Mr. Hally to go south to endeavor ,to settle the points at issue on the spot, and for this reason the conference had to be adjourned.
