DAIRY COMPANIES.

THE MOA FARMERS'. The twenty-fitftli annual report of the Moa Farmers' Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., for the past year, states, inter alia: — The amount of milk received was 10,938,929 lbs, producing 437,285.54 lbs of butter-fat; cream received was 532,968 lbs, producing 190,253.23 lbs of butterfat; butter manufactured was 740,974 lbs, equal to 330 tons 15 cwt 3 qrs 10 lbs; over-run, 18 per cent.; average test for the year was 4 per cent. . Casein manufactured: Skim milk, 83 tons 1C cwt 3 qrs 19 lbs; butter milk, 10 tons 1 cwt 1 qr 1 lb. Owing to a temporary fall iif the price of casein on the London market, the New Zealand Casein Company curtailed their advances from £35 per ton to £25 per ton. We have been advancing twopence per lb of but-ter-fat to those suppliers who have left their milk for casein manufacture, consequently the account is overdrawn. We understand the casein has now been shipped and expect in a short while to receive payment in full for the season's supply. For the past ten months a profit of £562 5s 9d has been made in the stores department. We have arranged with the bank to -write £3OO per year off the store liabilities. This will leave the sum of £202 5s 9d. Your directors recommend that this amount be left as a sinking fund so as to strengthen the position of the store.
