By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Signer Giolitti, in the Italian Chamber, commenting on the disturbances in Rome accused those who amassed war fortunes of desiring to influence the country's political life. A telegram from Budapest states that the new Hungarian Premier, in a Ministerial declaration, said that Hungary could offer military support to tlie Entente. With reference to Mr. Cook's statement that Vickers, Ltd., are establishing a business in Australia, the firm declines to make a statement, except to say that the report is premature. The Germans seized Bela Kun and other Hungarian Communists, and sent them back to Austria instead of allowing them to go to Russia. The Paris correspondent of the New York Times interviewed Marshal Foch, who said: "The United States should have ratified the treaty with us, but by keeping apart from us they have helped to promote the disorders in Central Burope, prevented the establishment of economic equilibrium, and gravely prejudiced their own interests. It would now be to their interest to help solve the Eastern problem, but 110 one Seems to understand thai in the United States.
An insinuation is being carefully spread throughout Germany that a bargain has been made between England and France at Germany's expense, and that England is receiving a free hand in Northern Palestine, the Dardanalles, the Mosul petroleum district, while France is; to be permitted to have her own way with Germany, weakening her and tearing her to pieces at leisure.—Aus.N.Z.
