VICTORIAN RACING CLUB. Melbourne, July 24. The annual report of the Victoriai Racing Club shows that the stakes paid totalled £Bl,695, an increase of £10,083, and the profits werS over £IO,OOO above those of the previous year. The club proposes to establish an insurance fund to compensate Injured racing employees and indemnify owners and trainers against claims under the compulsory clauses of the Workmen's Compensation Act.
