A flfteon'-round professional lightweight conteat between Harry Holmes and Eugene volaire for a purse of £250 under the auspices of tho Danne'virke Boxing Association went the full distance. Holmes had ,it slight advantage throughout and won oh points. Amateur contests resulted: P. Hanna (Hastings) defeated H. Carr (Wellington); G. Curran (Dannevirke) heat Redwing (West Coast). Both won on points.
