Pour Nationalist officers who were arrested were leaders of a plot to organise a revolt in the city, in which it was planned to murder all Europeans, es. pecially English residents, and assassinate the Sultan. The question of signing the Treaty has caused a Cabinet crisis, and several resignations are reported,—Times Service.
