Apply "G. 5.," News office, b.v. • LOCAL BILL. •pHE NEW PLYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL hereby gives public notice that it proposes to introduce into the General Assembly at its present Session, a Local Bill entituled "The New Plymouth Recreation and Racecourse Reserve Amendment Act, 1920." . \ The objects intended to be effected by the said Bill are as follows: To amend Subsection 2 of Section 3 of "The New Plymouth Recreation and Racecourse Reserve Act, 1887" (herinafter,called "the said Act"), by increasing the width of tlie Course on the Racecourse set apart under the said Act to 3J chains
(including the part to be used as a. training Course), instead of 1J chains, as provided by the said Act. " t To. amend Section 4 of the said Act by authorising the Taranaki Jockey Club to hold race meetings on the Racecourse set apart under the said Act for not exceeding six days in each year, instead of three days in each year, and to use the Racecourse for the purpose of training and exercising horses on every week day before 11 o'clock a:m., instead of before 9 o'clock a.m., as provided by t4ie said Act. To authorise the Taranaki Jockey Club (in addition to the powers conferred upon it by the said Act), with the consent of the New Plymouth Borough Council, to permit the Racecourse to be used fohorse racing by any Hunt Club, Trotting Club, or other Racing Club, for not exceeding four days in each year. To increase the amount payable bj the Taranaki Jockey Club to tlis New Plymouth Borough Council for the use of the Reserve and Racecourse from the sura of £25 per annum to the sum of £IOO per AND notice is hereby further given thai a copy of the said Bill and a plan of the land affected have'been this day deposited in the Magistrate's Court at New Plymouth, and will be open to public inspection at the said Court for three complete weeks from this date.
