MISSING WOMAN FOUND. Viy Telegraph.—Press Assoelatlot Wellington, Last Night. Mrs. BarnaTtT, who has been missing from her home in Wellington South since last Tuesday, was found to-'day wandering in the scrub at Mornington, between Brooklyn and Island Bay. The woman appeared to have suffered no ill effects.
HOMESTEAD DESTROYED. Dannevirke, Last Night. ' A fire at Porangahau in the early hours of this morning destroyed the homestead of Mr. G. Hunter, member for Waipawa. The building comprised 16 rooms, a portion of the structure being comparatively new. Mr. Hunter saved records, papers, and pictures. The insurances are not known. MONEY FOR HYDRO-ELECTRICITY. Wellington, Last Night. Replying to a deputation representing the Wairoa Borough and County, which suggested that one of the Government Departments might lend a portion of its money for hydro-electric works, the Minister said there were only two sources open, the Public Trust and the Government Life Department. He promised to inquire into the prospects of finding money.
