The Prime Minister, as Minister in charge of the Department of Imperial Government Supplies, has issued a let-. ter in the following .terms to all Wool brokers in the Dominion:— 'lt is expected that an interim pay* ment, on account of pronto arising no* der' the Imperial GoVerntnent wool purchase accounts, will shortly be made to cover the period to March 31, MfM. It has been arranged that the payment* shall be made by the Department of Im« perial Government Supplies direct to growers. As a preliminary step, I should be pleased if you would furnish that Department with a statement to show particulars of payments:.(a) From November l', 1916, to October 31, lWjl (b) from November 1, 1917, to' October 31, 1918; (c) from November 1 1918, to October 31, 1919. I shall be pleased if you would arrange that .the statement be in agreement with the totals <rf the purchase money already balanced with the Department of the Imperial Govern* ment Government Supplied and I would further ask that it be certified as correct in the usual manner. I should also bo much obliged if you would allow thi» matter to receive your early attention it* order ithat the information may be avail* able at the earliest possible moment."
