THE THIRD PARTY. SPLIT IN ITS RANKS. B? TeletMpfc.'-Press Assn.— Received July 18, 5.5 p.m. New York, July 15. Chicago reports that tho third p&r.y is known as the Farmer-Labor Party. It has nominated Mrl Parley ChristenBen, a lawyer, of Utah, for President, and Mr. Max Hayes, a Labor leader, for Vice;Fresidjßnt. Mr. Christensen announced' that he would retire in favor of Mr. Lafollette if the latter would consent io assume nomination, but Mr. Lafollotte had telegraphed the Convention he would not run on the ticket if nominated. A strong faction, comprising the original founders of the third party movement, are very dissatisfied with the platform and the candidates, and may organise their own party candidates and platform.—Aus.-N.Z.
