NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. j A bogey match will be played on the New: Dymouth Club's links this afternoon. The I draw is: Ttobertshaw v. Sraah, Elliott v. Burke, Butcher v. Lawrey, .Tohns v. Johnson, Bloxam v. Osborne, Bewley v. Grant, Mackay v Quickfull, MvAUum v. McQuade, J. Paton V. Etherington, S. Burgess v. Bailey, Smith,' v. Chrlatoffel; A REMARKABLE SHOT. A drive which comes near the longest recorded, and certainly establishes a record for accuracy, was accomplished by Mr. R. B. Burron, an Oxford University player, at Marlon Park. (reports the London Daily Mirror). From the eighteenth tee he not only reached the grfcen, 330 yards 'away, but holed out with the shot. 4t is hardly a common experience for even short holes to be secured in one strike, but it is without record that l a hole of over 300 yards has been holed out in ofto from the tee. Although the ground does not slope towards the green the course was very hard, and there was a good deal of run on the ball.
