OAONUI. (From Our Own Correspondent.) A farewell social was tendered to Mr. and Mm. J. Kirkwood. junr., and Mr. and Mrs. P. Julian in the Oaonul Hall on Monday evening, sth July, and It proved a most etdoyable function. Mr. P. Cook, on behalf of the residents of the district, presented the departing guests with suitable tokens of esteem, and spoke euloglstically of their services to the district. Music was provided for the dance by Mrs. Cochrane and other local musicians, and songs were tendered hy Miss M. Gardner and Miss Cook, they being loudly applauded. Mr. Fred Young acted as M.C.
