By the occupation of Brusa, the Creeks lhik up the Anglo-British front, thus freeing the whole seaboard and dissipating Kemal Pasha's hope of attacking the Dardanelles and Constantinople. It is reported that a split occurred in the Nationalist ranks, Kurdish chiefs in t'ne LoKgad region are leading a counter movement. Peasants in the interior murdered several prominent Nationalists—Times. Received July IJ, 5.5 p.m. Constantinople, July 12.
The Greeks have givsH the Kemalists a drostic lesson. They eveeuted great numbers of'pnsoners taken after the fall of Baltkessar on the ground. The troops are irregulars, and must be regarded as bandits. Only a hundred were spared for trial.
