No civil service work is being done. The Lumpers' Union and Carters' Union of Fremantle and Perth are sympathetic and refused to handle any Government goods, which have seen declared "black." The Premier (Mr. Mitchell) has issued an ultimatum to his colleagues stating that he will resign rather than grant the strikers' demands, and as the At-torney-General (Mr. Draper) supports hixn in this attitude, the fate of the Government is in "the balance.—Aus.N.Z.
