Captain Anderson, who has made several trips to New Zealand previously, has been master on the C. S. Holmes for three years. He is associated with Chief Officer N. K. Halo and Second, P. Forslund. . . The principal cargo is a consignment 0f'20,000 cases of benzine for a New Mymonth firm, and aftej- discharging, which will occupy about ten days* the Wshooher gioes to Papeete. In dimensions the ship is 185 ft long. With a 37ft beam, Set tonniife of sSfl. and is drawing 15ft.6in of Water, Two motor.launches swung,one on each fide of the vessel, are used 'as auxiliary power when windg fail, ana the launches were brought into requisition ; e» the present voyage, notably after jMuliltajr the Three Kings. For a distance of 130 miles the schooner was towed 'bj the launches. The vessel has a" crew "if eight, all told, and brought, one passenger.
