BETTER TRAIN SERVICE.
! PLEA BY MR. S. 0. SMITH, MJ?. (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondept.) . Wellington, Last Night. The improvement of the train service between Wellington and KM Plymouth was suggested tfl the Minister for Railways by Mr. S. G. SmitMTaranaki). The accommodation on the -trains, said Mr. Smith, required to be improved and increased. It had happened' frequently lately that'women and'children had been compelled to travel in smoking carriages or to stand in passages and lavatories. He wished to urge again that the speed of the trains' Bhonld bo increased. There was no, good, reason why the express train should .take eleven hours and a half to make tj» .journey between Wellington an4N**r Plymouth. Mr. Massey asked that the question should be placed oh the order paper, in order that he might give ft considered reply. y
