FLOODS IN N.S.W.
CROPS AND STOCK LOST, By Telegraph.—Ptssb Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, July 2. From all parts of the country reports are coming in that rivers are rising rapidly and floods are threatened Boats have been despatched to Narrabri, where the town is in danger. Serious floods continue, damaging crops and drowning stock. The conditions are still unsettled. Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Received July 2, 8 p.m. Sydney, July 2. The floods caused railway washiways in various parts of the country, causing considerable disorganisation.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. SPREAD TO QUEENSLAND. EXTENSIVE DAMAGE REPORTED. Received July 2, 10.5 p.m. Sidney, July 2. Torrential rains are still falling throughout the country, and there is an increasing danger of floods. Already in the Western districts, two townships, Coolah and Leadville, are isolated, and railway traffic beyond Mudgee is suspended. All telegraphio communication is hopelessly disorganised. It is feared that if cold weather follows the rain there will be heavy losses of stock. The tain has extended to Queensland, between two and three inches falling in the west and south-western areas.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
