BURNSIDE MARKET. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedln, June 30. At Burnslde stock market to-day there was a moderate yarding of good sheep, but a Chrlstchurch firm, acting on behalf of Australian agents, bought up two thousand fat sheep, which go straight to Melbourne by the steamer Kauri. It Is understood they have been purchased on behalf of the butchering Irade In the Victorian capital. Host of these sheep came from North Otngo and South Canterbury. The effect of this purchase ivns a sharp rise in values. Lambs were in short supply, and the same applies to pigs, enhanced values being obtained for the latter. On the other hand, fat cattle were In full supply, although the quality could have been improved upon. Pat Cattle.—A large yarding of medium quality, a total of 2:iti head being offered for sale. Prime bullocks realised from £2l to £25 10s, medium £1" 10s to £2O, light and unfinished sorts from £l4 upwards, ortra prime heavyweight heifers realised up to L-'2 6d, prime £1". l.ls tn Ai 17 10?., medium £l3 10s to £ls, light and aged from £B iiptvards.

Lambs.—A 9mall yarding totalling 300 head The quality was not up ir, hist week's standard. The values obtained, taking quality Into consideration, were on a par with chose which -rilled last week, ranging from 23* to 37s 6d a head.

Pigs.—A small yarding which met vitto rery keen competition. Prices advanced from ?s 6d to 10s ji head compared with laist week's rates Best baconers realised from 10% d to ll%d per lb., and best porkers from Jl%d- to Is o%d per lb.
