BOWLING.
AVON CLUB (STRATFORD). ANNUAL MEETING., The first annual meeting of members of the Avon Bowling Club, which was formed In April, 1919, was held in St. Andrew's Hall, Stratford, on Monday night. Mr. R. McK. Morlson presided, in the absence of the president, Mr. ,{. Masters, who was prevented by indisposition from being present. Tho annual report contained an interesting review of the Initial work of forming the club. It was hoped that the ladies would form a strong Croquet Club. Regret was expressed that the grounds were not in better order, btrt i It was confidently expected that next season the greens would have a pood playing surface. ! The membership was steadily growing Thanks were accorded to those who rendered assistance during the year, also to the Kltham Bowling Club, who very kindly allowed the members to use their green whenever possible. The report was adopted. ELECTION OP OFFICERS. Tho election of officers resulted as follows: President. Mr. J. Masters (re-elected); vice- , presidents, Messrs. North arid Morlson (re* | elected); secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. LI. iietts; committee, Messrs. p. Weston, Chlng, iK. Masters, Tettlgrew, and R. H. White; assistant secretary, Mr. J. Rowe; auditor, Mr. h. M. Moss; green warden, Mr. .1. Musters; selection committee, Messrs. Morlson, North, and J. S. Rowe; delegate (o the Centre, Messrs. J. Masters and Morlson; coach, Mr. .1. S. Uowe. Several members paid a tribute to the hard work done by Mr. J. Masters on the green in his capacity as green warden.
