North' 11.2. . j Professional six round bout —H. Withey 10.8 beat D. Boreham 11.4. , TARANAKI ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the committee of the Taranaki Boxing Association was held In the Soldiers' Club, New Plymouth, last night, Mr. E. Whittle presided over a good attendance of members. Feeling reference was made to the death of | Mr. E. H. Duggan, one of ihe competitors at the recent tournament, and a ver\' promising boxer. The resignation of Mr. G. Richardson as a member of the committee was accepted with regret, and it was decided to forward a letter thanking him for his services, he having been one of the originators of the Association. Mr. C. H. Fielding was elected to All the vacancy. Arrangements were made for the forthcoming tournament which Is to he held in the BBiplrc Theatre on Thursday, Julv 29, the first night of the Waterloo Cup fixture. It was derided to Te-appoint the same officials who controlled the last tournament so successfully. A splendid programme has been drawn up. the principal bout beluga 15-rnund professional contest for a purso of £SO between T. Thompson and F. Brown, winners of the professional bouts at the last tournament. Four special amateur bouts of six two-minute rounds will also he staged, the contestants being: Bantam, V, D Rolston v. T. Chaplin: light, A. Dtigiran v. J. Sutherland; welter, U. Burns V. !t. Land; heavy,-McAsey v. Canute.
