NOTES FOR DAIRYMEN. The clearing sale on Mr. E. W. Hancock's farm near the Stratford Abattoirs on Wednesday should draw a. large attendance of dairymen who are on the look out for good milkers. Air. Hancock has sold the property, and Ills fine* herd of over thirty grade Jcrse3's and .sutHlrV'j will be offered without reserve. The factory figures which Mr. Hancock Is able to produce speak louder than words of the quality of the herd from a milking point of view. It will be sufficient to enumerate a few of the returns as proof of the opportunity afforded dairymen to build up the coming season's cheques. "Ivy" has a record of 500 lbs. butter-fat for nine months; "Duchess" as a two-yenr-ohl recorded 284 lbs. and as a three-year-old 342 88 lbs. ("the pick of the herd," says Mr. Hancock) ; "Lady." 340.M lbs her test in Mar being 7.2; "Pew." Is another good one, with 422 lbs. and a test of G. 3; "Jersey," a nice type of cow, had iast. year 260 lbs. to her credit; "Rosio" in April returned 50 lbs. lat: "Montv" in 234 days gave 336 lbs; "Pet." in 24.1 days 320 lbs ; and "Fancy" 338 lbs, for the season. Only three cows tested under 6.0 for the month of May. These figures will be available at the sale for the information of Intending purchasers. Tiie Jersey hull.
