The representatives of the master bakers of the Dominion interviewed the , president and chairman of the Board of Trade with ft view to getting in- ; creases .on the price of b"read fixed. Three months ago they suggested {ld increase over the counter, and a farthing if delivered in the North Island, and a farthing all round in the South Island. It is stated that the price of manufacture has increased 27s 6d per ton. The Minister promised to go into the matter fully and give an early reply.
