SHOOTING TRAGEDY.
BOY KILLS HIS SISTER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Waipawa, June 24. A shocking tragedy occurred at Argyll I yesterday afternoon, when a seven-year-old lad, during the absence of his parents, secured a rifle from a shed and, playfully pointing it at his sister, pulled the trigger. The shot struck her in the face, nearly the whole of the jaw being blown away. ' The child was expiring when the doctor arrived. • JThe father, who is a Native named Pbhio, declares that there was no cartridge in the rifle when he last had it.
