Received June 22, 8.5. p.m. London, June 21, The Boulogne Conference is working excellently, and rapprochement between the Allies, particularly France and Britain, is much closer. A Turkish agreement was reached, under which Greece will be given a mandatory status, though Italy sympathises with Turkish nationalism. Decisions regarding Germany include her partial restoration to the comity of nations.—Times Service. SHARING THE INDEMNITY. NO PRIORITY TO FRANCE. Received June 22, 8.45 p.m. London, June 21. An important decision was readied at the Hythc Conference, it being found impossible to adhere to a previous Hythe arrangement under which France was given priority in receiving the first large payment of the German indemnity. This is now held to be impraticable am! unworkable, but alternative proposals have not yet been announced. They will be confirmed by the Boulogne Con-ference.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. FIXING THE,INDEMNITY. PAYMENT OVER THIRTY-SEVEN YEARS. Received June 23. 12.10 a.m. W Paris, June 21. Le Temps learns that the AngloFrench proposal stipulates that the German indemnity shall be paid in thirty-taven annual instalments. The minimum will be three milliard gold marks, plu3 additions, making the total over 120 milliards.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. i GERMANY'S EVASIONS. ALLIES EXPRESS DISSATISFACTION London, June 20. The Hythc Conference communique states that the French Government accepts the suggestion of the British Government that the rate at which the German Government is carrying into execution the clauses of the Treaty of Versailles which relate to disarmaments is profoundly unsatisfactory. The two Governments have therefore agreed to recommend to the inter-Allied conference at Boulogne that their military advisers be instructed to concert at once proposals for acceleration of the execution of the clauses of the Treaty of Peace dealing with German armaments, both men and material.—Rcuter.
