THE POLISH WAR.
HEAVY FIGHTING REPORTED. 87 Telegraph.—Presi Asm.—Copyright. London, June 21. Advices from Warsaw state: Having re-established the situation in the north, where we hold the whole line of the Beresina, the main efforts of the Poles have been transferred to the Ukraine front. The Poles engaged the Bolsheviks at the confluence of the Pripet, destroying two Soviet regiments. This freed the territory between the Dnieper and Beresina, giving the Poles complete freedom of ' action south of the Pripet, where they are threatening the Bolshevik rear. It is anticipated that Budennyjs Red army will be forced back on the Dnieper. Everything points to a vigorous coun-ter-offensive on Pilsudski's armies, which art being quickly regrouped in the Ukraine.—Reuter. London, June 21. A Bolshevik communique announces: Our decisive offensive is strongly develop- ' fag In th* neighborhood of Retchitsa. We forced the Dnieper, occupied Retchitsa, and are pursuing the enemy in the direction of Korosten and Pfoskuroff.—Aus - 2f.£ Cable Ann.
