At the Magistrate's Court, Oliver ligginton admitted supplying beer tV soldiers under medical treatment, and was fined £5 and costs 7s. CARGO BROACHING. Auckland, Last Night. Five young sailors off tee steamer Arawa admitted broaching tjie' vessel's cargo during the voyage out 4 f om London. As 1 the police required to make further inquiries, accused were remanded for sentence until to-morrow. .f « A KETCH WRECKED. Auckland, Last Night. Advice has been received that the ketch Violet, recently sold in Auckland, has been wrecked in the Haapai group of the Tongan Islands. The vessel sank in twenty fathoms. No lives were lost. SLIP ON KAIPAKA LINE. Auckland, Last Night. An extensive slip occurred on Saturday on the Kaipara railway, near Hotea, alioufc 05 miles from Auckland. All traffic on the line lias been blocked since Saturday afternoon, but it is anticipated that the work of clearing the ship will be completed before to-morrow, when the normal service will be resumed.
