San Francisco dispatches state that among outstanding aspirants for Democratic nomination for the Presidency are Senator Owen, who is prominently connected with Federal financial laws; Senator Hitchcock, a former Democratic leader in the Senate; Governor Edwards, of Nejv Jersey, who was elected on a platform opposed to prohibition; Governor Cox, of Ohio; Vice-President Marshall;. John W. Davis, Ambassador to Britain; Attorney-General Palmer; exSecretary (jflass; Governor Smith, of New York; Mr. Gerard, ex-Ambassador to Germany; and Mr. Colby, at present Secretary of State. . There is a question raised as ,to whether President Wilson will run for a third term. It is pointed out that he has not fet definitely expressed his intention in this respect. There is also some talk of nominating Mr. McAdop, despite his staitement that he will not stand for nomination.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn."
